The Mathematics of Development

A complete mathematical description is beyond the scope of this report, but can be found in [Smith and Weston(1954)]. The basic equation is

z = $\displaystyle \sqrt{{x^2 + y^2}}$. (1)

In addition to Equation [*], we also have

x = A sinθ
y = A cosθ
A = $\displaystyle \int^{\infty}_{0}$dt f (t). (2)

Equations [*] and [*] together describe the entire time development of the history of America. Again no geomagnetic term enters.
